Selected work
| Client | Situation | What we did | What changed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grant-making nonprofitExecutive team and manager development | A senior team drawn from three autonomous divisions had never operated as a unit. With a $2B endowment, a new board chair, and a strategic plan due in six months, the organization needed a steady hand and a clear path. | A six-month executive alignment series, plus individual coaching for four direct reports stepping into new visibility. |
|
| Multinational media companyManager capability and leadership development | An acquisition joined a legacy broadcast network and a digital-first streaming operation. The cultures clashed openly, and high-performer attrition was rising on both sides within the first year. | An 18-month leadership program for managers across both organizations in 14 markets, anchored in a shared people philosophy built with HR leadership. |
|
| Global hedge fundTalent strategy and manager readiness | Rapid AUM growth outpaced management infrastructure. Investment professionals inherited people-management duties with no structured support, and junior retention risk was rising. | A full talent architecture (career tracks, performance frameworks, a competency model) and a manager readiness program for 24 portfolio managers and senior analysts. |

“Willie has a rare ability to hold a room. We brought him in for a leadership offsite with a team that had never been asked to work together as a unit. He read the dynamics immediately and facilitated us to alignment that shaved years off our timeline.”

How an engagement works
- Start with a conversation. You describe what’s happening, what’s been tried, and what success would actually look like. No pitch deck. No intake form.
- Diagnose before prescribing. Interviews, observation, and your existing data, to understand the real problem rather than the presenting one.
- Design the engagement. Scope, format, and timeline, tailored rather than templated. Some engagements are six-week sprints; others are 18-month partnerships.
- Work alongside your team. I’m in the room: leading offsites, coaching leaders weekly, facilitating difficult conversations.
